Govt has given highest priority to expansion of quality education in the state: CM
It is not enough for students to just have academic education and they must indulge themselves in extracurricular activities such as sports etc for developing both mentally and physically which will smoothen the path of life for them. That is why the government has given ultimate priority to expansion of quality education in the state, said Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha while interacting with the students after inaugurating the newly built three-storey building of Barapathari HS School on wednesday.
While interacting with the students, the Chief Minister mentioned about different aspects of Vidyajyoti Schools. He said, as a result of opening Vidyajyoti Schools in the state , students will be able to move ahead in national level competitive examinations like other students. the newly built building of Barapathari HS School has been constructed at the cost of 3 crore 10 lakh rupees.
Prior to inaugurating the newly built three-storied building of Barapathari HS School, the Chief Minister had inaugurated the newly built building Ajgar Rehmanpur High School located at North Rangamura of Rajnagar block which has been built at the cost of 3 crore 63 lakh 42 thousand rupees. The Chief Minister also had inaugurated 30- bedded two-storied tribal students hostel nearby Hrishyamukh HS School today which has been built at the cost of 2 crore 18 lakh 44 thousand 744 rupees. Then the Chief Minister had inaugurated Amrit Sarovar nearby Hrishyamukh block. The Amrit Sarovar of 1.76 acre has the capacity to conserve water of up to 19 thousand cubic metre. After inaugurating the Amrit Sarovar, the Chief Minister planted a neem tree sapling on the banks of the Sarovar and handed over the lease paper of the Sarovar to Ujjayina CLF. Amrit Sarovar has been construction at the cost of 2 crore 25 lakh rupees.
Other dignitaries present in these programmes were MLA Sankar Roy, DM & Collector Saju Wajid A., Superintendent of Police Ajit Pratap Singh, Bharatchandranagar Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Putul Pal Biswas, Hrishyamukh Panchayat Samiti Chairperson Bakul Devi Debnath, social activist Ranjit Sarkar and District Education Officer Subir Majumdar.
